IKEA BEECH PLANKS
Kids puzzle came up nicely with a deep etch, although flaring and resin around the burn can be a problem (in the lower pic the flaring has been sanded off). Unfortunately IKEA don't make the FUNDERA planks anymore so I've had to make my own (below)
Solved the flaring problem by masking the lower example with adhesive paper labels. Image much cleaner, with only tiny amounts of resin associated with the burn. Saves having to sand off the residue.
CORFLUTE
Corflute is a polypropylene version of corrugated cardboard, with the cut outs, interesting ribbing patterns are revealed.
Scoring corflute can be problematic due to its thickness but perforating brings about interesting folds
